Terms of engagement
How work with Aurum Designs runs: quotes, payment, ownership, revisions and cancellation.
These terms apply to every project and monthly plan with Aurum Designs ("we", "us"). Sending a deposit or paying a first month means you have read them and agree. Anything different is written into your quote.
Quotes and scope
Every quote states the tier, what it includes, the price and the turnaround. The turnaround starts when we have your deposit and the material we asked for (copy facts, photos, logo files, access). Work outside the stated scope is quoted separately before it starts.
Payment
One-time work: 50% deposit to start, 50% at launch or hand-off. Monthly plans: billed at the start of each month, starting the month the site goes live. Prices are in Canadian dollars and HST is added where it applies. Invoices are due within 14 days.
Revisions
Each tier includes rounds of revision as stated in the offer. A round is one consolidated list of changes. Changes to the brief after approval of a stage are a new quote.
Ownership
When the final invoice is paid, you own the deliverables: brand files, templates, the website files and its content, and the domain, which is registered in your name. We keep the right to show the work in our portfolio unless you ask us not to. The design system and tooling we build sites with remain ours; you receive the built site, not the toolkit.
Hosting and monthly plans
Monthly plans run month to month and can be cancelled any time with notice before the next billing date. If you cancel Basics, Care or Found, the site stays yours; we will hand over the files and hosting access or help you move it. If hosting lapses, the site goes offline, and we are not responsible for what happens to it after hand-off.
Content and claims
You are responsible for the accuracy of the facts you give us and for having the right to use any logos, photos or text you supply. We will not publish invented reviews, statistics or credentials, and we will flag anything we cannot verify.
Liability
We build sites carefully and test them before launch, but we do not guarantee search rankings, AI placements, traffic or sales. Our liability for any project is limited to the amount you paid for it.
Cancellation
You can stop a project at any time. Work completed to that point is invoiced, and the deposit is not refunded once work has begun. We can stop a project if the material we need does not arrive within 60 days of the deposit; the deposit covers work done to that point.
