Privacy policy
What Aurum Designs collects when you use this site or contact the studio, why, and how to get it removed.
This policy covers aurumdesigns.co and the ways you can contact Aurum Designs ("we", "us"). We are a small studio in Ontario, Canada, and we follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What we collect
When you send the contact form: your name, email address, business name, current website address (if you give one), what you are interested in, and your message. The form is handled by Netlify, our hosting provider, which stores the submission and emails it to us.
When you email us: whatever you put in the email.
When you browse the site: nothing we keep. The site does not set cookies and does not run analytics or advertising scripts. Netlify's servers keep standard access logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) for a short period for security and operations.
Why we collect it
To reply to you, to prepare a recommendation and a price, and to do the work if you become a client. That is the only use. We do not sell, rent or trade personal information, and we do not add contact-form senders to a newsletter.
Where it lives
Form submissions are stored by Netlify, whose servers are in the United States, and in our email. Client project files are stored in our own accounts with the providers we use to build and host sites. By using the form you consent to that transfer.
How long we keep it
Contact-form submissions and emails from people who do not become clients are deleted within twelve months. Client records are kept for as long as we work together and for seven years afterwards, which is what Canadian tax rules require for business records.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email hello@aurumdesigns.co and we will do it within thirty days. If you are not satisfied you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Third parties
Netlify (hosting and form handling), Google Fonts (typefaces, loaded from Google's servers, which see your IP address when the page loads). No other third party receives data from this site.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be noted on this page.
